We are pleased to welcome Juan Martín Pividori, representing our partner DesSolutio Lda., in Portugal. In this webinar, he will DesSolutio’s role in advancing the industrial implementation of mechanochemical processes for pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a particular focus on scale-up strategies and process simulation.
Pividori is currently an Assistant Researcher at DesSolutio. His work focuses on the industrial scale-up of mechanochemical routes for the production of high-value active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). His expertise includes advanced process simulation using Aspen tools, industrial layout design, and techno-economic assessment. In addition, he integrates Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies into his work. Our speaker is responsible for translating laboratory-scale experimental results into technically and economically viable large-scale manufacturing processes, contributing to the development of scalable, sustainable, and economically robust pharmaceutical production routes within IMPACTIVE.
DesSolutio is a spin-off company of NOVA University Lisbon that offers consultancy services in the field of green chemistry and sustainable development. In particular, it does so through the development of sustainable solvents based on natural molecules known as eutectic solvents (DES – Deep Eutectic Systems). Its mission is to provide solutions that contribute to the creation of value-added products for a range of applications, including cosmetics, food and biotechnology.
