We are thrilled to announce our fifth webinar session! It will take place on Wednesday, 14th of January at 15:00 CET. We are proud to welcome Renzo Luisi, coordinator of our sister project SusPharma, from the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy). He will explain all about SusPharma and its objective: moving towards sustainable pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Renzo Luisi is currently a full professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Bari Aldo Moro. His research focuses on organic synthesis, asymmetric catalysis, and sustainable methodologies, with particular emphasis on organolithium chemistry, flow chemistry, and green synthetic processes.

SusPharma is a research project focused on developing more sustainable and environmentally friendly pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The project aims to reduce waste, energy consumption, and the use of hazardous reagents by integrating green chemistry principles. By combining academic and industrial expertise, SusPharma seeks to enable efficient, scalable, and safer routes to active pharmaceutical ingredients, supporting the transition toward a more sustainable pharmaceutical production.

In our inaugural session this May, our project coordinator and researcher at the University of Montpellier (France),Evelina Colacino, presented our project and how mechanochemistry can help address shortages in the European pharmaceutical supply chain. In July, Carlos Fernández, researcher at the Plastics Technology Centre (AIMPLAS), in Spain, and part of our sister project ETERNAL shared insights into their work. Our most recent session featured Christian Stevens, coordinator of our sister project TransPharm, who provided an overview of their project and its objectives. Last but not least, Stephanos Camarinopoulos and Michael Harasek explained all about the ENVIROMED project. Missed these webinars? No problem, you can still access session one here, session two here, session three here and session four here.

Streamed live on our YouTube channel, these sessions will explore the current challenges and opportunities in mechanochemistry, green pharmaceuticals, and green chemistry. Anyone can join us to learn more about these topics and meet the leading experts in these fields.

So, mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this new webinar!
